A Message from Our Founder
Sam Arya — Founder, ProConnect Persian Society
"When I moved to Vancouver, I realized something quickly — it's not that there's a lack of talented Persians here. It's that we're not connected.
I saw entrepreneurs, professionals, and incredible people all around me, but everyone was moving in their own direction, without a strong sense of community bringing us together.
ProConnect started from a simple idea: create a space where Persians can actually meet, build real relationships, and support each other — socially and professionally.
What began as a few conversations and small gatherings is now growing into a real community. Every event, every introduction, every new connection adds something meaningful.
The vision is bigger than events — it's about building the central hub for the Persian community in Vancouver. Because when we're connected, everything changes."
Yalda Night Gala
Our most celebrated event of the year — a magical Persian winter solstice celebration bringing together hundreds of professionals and community members every December.
Yalda Night Gala 2026
Yalda Night (Shab-e Yalda) is the Persian celebration of the longest night of the year — and ProConnect's most magical annual gathering. Each December, we bring together executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members for an unforgettable evening of Persian culture, connection, and celebration.
