Afshin Sabouki is an Iranian-Canadian artist with extensive experience in editorial cartooning, caricature, and animation. He holds a BA in painting and has completed advanced studies in animation at BCIT and Capilano University in Vancouver. Over the course of his career, Sabouki has contributed his unique artistic style to prominent newspapers and organizations in Iran and Canada, including Hamshahri, Shargh, The Source, and Business in Vancouver. His work extends to popular TV shows such as Transformers (Rescue Bots), Teen Titans Go!, Carmen Sandiego, Lower Decks, and Q-Force.
An award-winning artist, Sabouki’s creations have been featured in exhibitions across Iran, the United States, and Canada. His accolades include 3rd place in the 17th World Press Freedom International Editorial Cartoon Competition, as well as recognition from festivals in China, Iran, and Europe. Additionally, he has served as a jury member for the Tehran International Cartoon Biennial.
